STG DeNOx Technology:

Energy savings up to 5 % and NOx reduction down to a range of 400 - 1000mg

 

The combined power of STG products and services has made it possible to develop advanced DeNOx technology, saving energy, increasing production efficiency and reducing NOx formation economically. By the combination of STG DeNOx oil or gas burners, and DCS with Lambda control based on STG Lambda sensors, and STG’s long time experience in the optimisation of burner port design and furnace technology, STG’s DeNOx technology is in the position to achieve NOx reduction down to a range of 400 to 1000 mg NOx (reference 8% O2) or 1,6 … 3,5 lbs/ton of glass. In many cases, the improvements in melting efficiency alone pay for the expense of this technology.

STG DeNOx technology is based on two main principles:

a) A remarkably increased energy transfer from flame to glass and batch by using DeNOx Burners and compressed air baffles , called Air Curtain, will decrease NOx and furnace and flue gas temperatures.

b) Lambda control helps to reduce and control excess air. Therefore, parasite air infiltration is  minimised and compensated, which will decrease NOx formation and also decrease the amount of flue gas.
